Sri Subhaschandra Bose Tanuku is a distinguished former IAS officer with over 38 years of experience in renewable energy, infrastructure development, and public sector leadership.

An engineering graduate from Andhra University with an MBA from Madurai Kamaraj University, he has further specialized internationally in Waste-to-Energy (Denmark) and Energy Conservation (Japan), bringing a global perspective to sustainable development.

He played a pioneering role in establishing India’s first Municipal Solid Waste-to-Energy power projects in Hyderabad and Vijayawada—landmark initiatives that were recognized and appreciated by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India.

During his tenure in the Government of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, he held several key leadership positions, including General Manager at NREDCAP, where he oversaw large-scale projects across solar, wind, hydel, biomass, and waste-to-energy sectors. He also served as Managing Director of SETWIN, where he led impactful initiatives focused on skill development and employment generation, benefiting thousands of youth annually.

His contributions extend to energy efficiency initiatives, including the implementation of LED lighting programs that improved safety and reduced energy consumption across multiple regions.
