Sri Subhaschandra Bose Tanuku

Sri Subhaschandra Bose Tanuku is a distinguished engineering graduate from Andhra University and holds an MBA from Madurai Kamaraj University. He furthered his expertise with specialized degrees in Waste to Energy from the European Academy of Environment in Denmark and in Energy Conservation from AOTS, Japan.

After completing his training in Denmark on 'Waste to Energy,' Sri Bose Tanuku was instrumental in pioneering Municipal Solid Waste-based power projects in Andhra Pradesh. His efforts led to the establishment of two groundbreaking projects—one in Hyderabad and another in Vijayawada. These projects were the first of their kind in India and received high praise from His Excellency President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, who highlighted them in his speeches to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and on Independence Day.

Sri Bose Tanuku's commitment to sustainability extends beyond waste management. He introduced LED lighting projects across Andhra Pradesh, enhancing power efficiency and improving safety in rural and urban areas by reducing the risk of snake bites and animal attacks during nighttime.

With a career spanning 38 years, Sri Bose Tanuku retired from the IAS officer cadre of the Government of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana. His roles included serving as Managing Director of SETWIN (State Employment and Training Welfare Institute), where he envisioned and implemented a plan to train and employ five lakh youth across the combined state of Andhra Pradesh. This initiative provided quality training to 100,000 candidates annually in various IT and automation skills from 2010 to 2014.

He also served as General Manager of the New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP), overseeing projects in solar, wind, hydel power, biomass, and municipal solid waste power generation. Additionally, Sri Bose Tanuku was a State Level Public Information Officer and a member of several state-level technical committees for solid waste management and tribal power companies.

In his advisory capacity, Sri Bose Tanuku lends his expertise to several IT companies, furthering his impact on technology and sustainable development. His career reflects a profound dedication to innovation and service, significantly advancing both environmental sustainability and youth employment.
