Sri G. Venkatarama Raju

He is a distinguished ex-air warrior who served in the Indian Air Force for 15 years, participating in all three major wars involving India. His exceptional service in the military was marked by dedication and valor. Following his tenure in the Air Force, Raju transitioned into a remarkable career in agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry.

Raju's contributions to agriculture have been widely recognized. He is a proud recipient of the ICAR New Delhi Award for his outstanding achievements in the field. In 2006, he was honored with the A.P. State Progressive Farmer Award, a testament to his innovative approaches and success in farming. Additionally, he has received the prestigious Krishibhushan Award twice from the Krishimantan Seminar in Bhopal, reflecting his ongoing impact and excellence in agriculture.

Raju's expertise has also been sought internationally, having served as an agricultural consultant in Ethiopia and Mozambique. In a notable highlight of his career, he had the opportunity to meet with Mr. H.H. George W. Bush Jr., President of the USA, during a visit to ANGRAU, Hyderabad, in 2006.
